Cappella were an Italian/English eurodance group that found international success mainly in the early 1990s. The name Cappella was first used in the year 1987. The main man behind Cappella was the Italian producer Gianfranco Bortolotti of Media Records, with contributions from the likes of Michele Persona and Mauro Picotto. In 1988 the act debuted on the British charts with the song Bauhaus (Push The Beat) - and the following year with Helyom Halib which peaked at #11. Some three years later Cappella returned with Take Me Away, sung by Loleatta Holloway who had also been the uncredited vocalist on the #1 hit Ride On Time by Black Box in 1989.

Come On Up And Dance Lyrics

Cappella

Come on up, come on up, come on up and dance
Come on up, come on up, come on up and dance
Come on up, come on up, come on up and dance
Come on up and dance

My desire is to set you on fire
Lift you up take you higher and higher
To ecstasy I want you to see
When you have fun you set yourself free
Climb with my rhyme and you will shine
Like a star 'cos that's what you are
Reach for your dreams they're not that far
Everything is possible, go for it
Do like me I score hit after hit
I wrote the music for you to use it
There's no way that you can refuse it
So wave your hands like you just don't care
The party it's out there let me hear you cheer
Funky that's the tune it makes sense
Here's your chance now come on and dance
Everybody come on up and dance
Everybody we can all be friends
Everybody get up on your feet
Everybody

My desire is to set you on fire
Lift you up take you higher and higher
Like a star 'cos that's what you are
Reach for your dreams they're not that far
